In 2015 and 2016 ARC worked with the local community to transform an ugly concrete patch next to the Packington Place carpark into the first ‘Pocket Park’ for Leamington spa.

ARC engaged the community to create and plant new raised beds. They worked with ‘Positive Signs’ mosaic group to make the colourful mosaics that decorate the new raised beds. Over 100 mosaic squares were made in workshops by members of the community.

The pocket park was officially launched by the town Mayor at the time Ann Morrison during Leamington in Bloom visit in July 2016. Ann said: “Everyone who has worked on this should feel proud of this achievement. What is really exciting is that passers-by as well as local residents and shopkeepers are stopping to look, and read the message in the tiles – ‘Everything Springs from Nature.”
