Achieving Results in Communities

Garden of Eden, East Lillington

ARC supports people to access and engage with the outdoors for their mental and physical health and well-being.

Creating a Garden of Eden in East Lillington

In late 2024 ARC began working alongside Warwick District Council to engage local people living around The Crest in East Lillington (CV32 7QB) to spend more time outdoors for their mental and physical wellbeing. A further aim is to transform the green area under Eden Court and Southorn Court tower blocks and improve the footpaths extending from this space to enhance people’s outdoor experience. We welcome parents or guardians with toddlers. One of our staff is Forest School trained and will provide some nature based activities

Our regular group meets on Wednesdays from 10am to 12noon.

We will also organise some weekend and evening activities through the year.

Some ideas we are proposing for the space are:
*Create a large bed for herbs, flowers and fruit.
*Plant fruit trees and other soft fruit for residents to harvest.
*Maintain the space, keeping the litter and dog poo under control.
*Enhance wildlife habitats, e.g. for birds, insects, hedgehogs, etc.
*Nature-based crafts: co-creating projects to place in the garden or take hom

Get involved!

We meet under Southorn Court (CV32 7QB), Wednesdays at 10 am. If you arrive late, look around and find us! No experience is needed, and we provide all the necessary tools and materials. We also enjoy a tea break with free refreshments. You could also just join us for a chat to share your thoughts about the space.
