Creating a Garden of Peace for Wellbeing and Wildlife
ARC have been engaged to transform the former churchyard at Leamington’s Parish Church into a green retreat in the heart of the town. This space is the large green area next to the Church with several public footpaths going through it. We have been enhancing biodiversity, with trees and shrubs. There is also a secluded gated East Garden which has been re-wilded with a rich mix of grasses and wildflowers. ARC are working in partnership with All Saints Parish Church with initial funding from Warwick District Council.
Our regular team of volunteers meets Tuesdays from 10am to 12noon.
Together, we are:
*Creating new flower beds bringing vibrant colours to sustain pollinators.
*Planting native trees, enhancing biodiversity and providing natural habitats.
*Maintaining the grounds, ensuring the green space is thriving and beautiful .
*Creating wildlife habitats, supporting local ecosystems in the urban landscape.
*Facilitating nature-based crafts: co-creating projects to place in the garden or take home.
Relax and Connect
In addition to our gardening activities, these sessions offer a perfect opportunity to unwind and socialise. We provide refreshments, so you can enjoy a cuppa while chatting with fellow volunteers.
