Achieving Results in Communities

Children’s Forest

We are engaging a number of local schools as well as members of the general public to support children to develop genuine care for the natural world.

In 2021 ARC received funding from the Warwickshire County Council Climate Resilience Fund to engage children and families in planting a “Children’s Forest” in Radford Semele. This project will plant approximately 2,600 trees at Leasowe Farm, Radford Semele, by July 2023. We are engaging a number of local schools, community groups as well as members of the general public.

You can read our interim report on the project from Autumn 2022 here: ARC Interim Report Children’s Forest Leasowe Farm 2022_Compressed

The aim is to support children to develop genuine care for the natural world. We will raise awareness around climate change, the benefits of woodlands, and other ways to mitigate CO2 emissions. The woodland itself will absorb carbon as the trees grow in size. Please click here http://eepurl.com/hRz8U5 to join the mailing list for this project.

We invite you to make your own carbon reduction commitments through our DoNation pledge page https://www.wearedonation.com/en-gb/campaigns/childrens-forest/ For any further details, don’t hesitate to contact us at childrensforest@arccic.co.uk
