Welcome to this month’s newsletter! As September arrives our long hot summer is beginning to shift with some storms and much needed rain. Thank you so much to all our volunteers who have kept our ‘green’ spaces alive and watered this summer – it has not been easy and we are grateful.
This month can often bring a shift in routine and rhythm, a sense of a new start even if we aren’t connected to the school terms. Nature is also shifting and things can feel a little more balanced as the equinox lands on the 21st of this month. This is when the days are nights are most equal in length and the official start of the autumn season begins.

Saturday 5th Sept ECO FEST Pump Room Gardens 10am til 5pm. Visit ARC’s stall, find out more about other local community projects, browse and shop from eco friendly businesses, engage with local climate action, learn about health, wellbeing and wellness, and enjoy music on the bandstand with a great selection of food and drink.
Saturday 12th Sept HERITAGE OPEN DAY All Saints Church, 10am – 3pm. Visit ARC’s stall, and learn more about local history. Organised by Leamington History Group, there will be a range of free local heritage displays & opportunity to climb up the church tower. Email lucie@arccic.co.uk if you are able to help on our stall for and hour or two.
Saturday 12th Sept ARC CROWDFUNDER RE-WILDING WALK at Leasowe Farm, Radford Semele. There are still spaces to join this fascinating tour of The Children’s Forest and the wider Leasowe Farm Rewilding Project which extends over 100acres of Warwickshire countryside. Learn about the concept of rewilding and see it in action! 1.5 to 2 hours walking over grassy fields. Aimed at adults. Accompanying children free. 2 til 4pm. £20 donation per adult. Sunday 20th Sept ARC CROWDFUNDER CHILDREN’S FOREST EQUINOX CELEBRATION AFTERNOON. For children, adults, and inner children… Immerse yourself in the wonder and excitement of the Children’s Forest project. Get wild playing games, making fire, singing songs, connecting with the elements and the land. £25 donation per adult. Children free. Email kath@arccic.co.uk to book your place.
Sunday 20th Sept ARC CROWDFUNDER FIRE & SONG EQUINOX EVENT.
5-7pm Tallis Wood, CV31 1TY. (This event is fully booked and for those that donated for this reward through our crowdfunder)
Sunday 27th Sept PIZZA MAKING at Foundry Wood. 12-2pm, £6 per pizza. All welcome!
UPCOMING COURSES
Booking is now open for our Winter Tallis Woodland Wellbeing Course running November 4th – Dec 16th. This is a free 7 week course each Wednesday 10am – 2.45pm aimed at people struggling with their mental or physical health, on an addiction recovery path or feeling isolated and wanting to connect more to themselves, community and nature.
