Lillington Community Orchard
Plans are coming together for our Community Orchard in Lillington! We’ll be doing some outreach around Lillington during January to inform local residents of our plans.
Preparation and tree planting sessions will start in February on the following dates:
Sat 1st Feb, Sat 8th Feb, Sat 15th Feb, Weds 19th Feb (half term week), Sat 1st March and Sun 9th March. All sessions will be 1 til 3pm.
We may cancel a session if the weather looks really bad so please contact us on the morning if you are in any doubt.
We will be planting 25 apple trees of different varieties. Over the coming 18 months we will also be organising follow up sessions to maintain the trees, improve biodiversity on the site, and learn about using the fruit as the trees start to produce.
